Resort Wear
When it comes to resort wear, the name of the game is to make sure you are comfortable. Of course, resort wear does not have to be sloppy or unsophisticated. Here are some ideas of resort wear that you can keep in mind as you plan your wardrobe for your next trip. To a degree, proper resort wear will depend a great deal on what type of resort you are visiting. If you are going to a warm weather resort, then you will want to take along some tropical resort wear. Tank tops will be appropriate resort wear, as will shorts and loose shirts. A trip to a cold weather resort will require jackets, ski clothing, sweaters and other types of clothing that are great for cold weather resort wear. Gender will come into play as well. Men’s resort wear should include both casual and dressy slacks, jeans, some button down shirts and of course plenty of loose fitting and comfortable resort wear. Ladies resort wear should include both casual and dressy pieces as well, perhaps even a tea length dress or two, in case the need to dress up in the afternoon or early evening presents itself. Both mens resort wear and women’s resort wear should include something formal as well. You never know when a black tie affair might come your way.
Resort wear apparel will also have a lot to do with individual taste. The bottom line is you will not feel comfortable unless you like what you are wearing. Who cares if you are wearing women’s plus size resort wear or a man’s super loose Hawaiian shirt? Resort clothing should be as conservative or as wild as you choose.
The bottom line when it comes to resort wear is to not make too big a deal out of your choices. Take along some nice pieces for dressy occasions, but make sure your day to day resort clothing is comfortable and makes you happy, whether is it plus size resort wear or wild patterns. Cruise and resort wear should be comfortable; if it is also memorable, is that really a bad thing?
